About the event

Come as you are. Somatic Movement & Dance is a beginner-friendly journey through partially guided, partially freeform movement that inspired by and grounded in principles and practices of somatics, nervous system science, 5Rhythms/Ecstatic Dance, yogic traditions, Qi Gong, Dance/Movement Therapy, dance fitness, contemporary dance, Authentic Relating, and more. Through a progressive series of sensory explorations, movement practices, and body-based invitations, you'll be supported to breathe, stretch, explore, and move in ways that feel nourishing and accessible to you with a curated playlist supporting the group journey.

This experience introduces gentle somatic movement practices that support body awareness, emotional presence, and meaningful connection. It's meant to help us shift from self-judgment over how we look or might be perceived to focusing on how it feels to move and listen to the body. This is a space to reconnect with yourself, creativity, and full, authentic expression.
